Meet The Staff
We currently have more than 30 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) qualified teachers, including the Headteacher, 2 Deputy Headteachers, 3 Assitant Headteachers and 6 FTE unqualified teachers based over our two sites and a Family Liaison Officer (FLO). These numbers are increasing regularly as the school expands and we open new classes.
We have very good staff to pupil ratio’s. The ratio’s in classes are always dependent on the needs of the children and/or the activities they are taking part in.
We currently have an increasing number of HLTA's (10 at present) as well as an increasing number of Teaching Assistants. HLTA’s currently lead on an area of school development linked to their own interests/skills which supports and enriches the curriculum for pupils.
In addition, supported by the NHS, we have 3 Speech and Language Therapists, 2 Physiotherapists, 1 Occupational Therapist, and 1 Therapy Assistant. We also have Nursing support on site via 2 nurses.
Staff have a wide range of specialist knowledge and experience to deliver an appropriate curriculum to pupils with a range of needs.
We have an ongoing program of professional development to ensure that staff maintain and develop their professional expertise. We are keen to support staff in their continuing professional development and this may include completing further education degrees or qualifications.
